Daniel grew up in Northeast Philadelphia. He started his culinary journey at age 15 when he decided to enroll into Central Montco Technical High School for Culinary Arts, Baking, & Restaurant Management. During his years at culinary school, Daniel worked at an upscale French restaurant called Deux Chemineés until the head chef retired and closed the restaurant's doors in June of 2007.
At age 20, after pursuing other business opportunities, it was only a matter of time before he realized that he could enjoy his life more and bring his family and friends together by returning to his one true passion as a chef. After five years in the insurance field, he returned to the kitchen and refocused his career back to his one true passion for cooking. Daniel enjoys providing personal chef services to the Main Line Jewish community, as well as catering larger events - luncheons, kiddishes, bar mitzvahs, and more.
Daniel C. Israel joined the Keystone K kosher supervision team in Philadelphia in 2015 and simultaneously began working as a personal chef in the Greater Philadelphia community. Daniel and his wife live in Lower Merion and enjoy feeding their friends and family as often as possible!
